Safety - with intention
Care is part of
the craft
A tattoo is personal, and so is the care behind it.
That's why I choose to be transparent about the process,
so you know what to expect before, during and after your session with me.
A little preparation.
A better start
01 - Before your session
We'll talk through your idea, placement and practical questions before the appointment.
If something changes for you, tell me - there's no need to push through uncertainty for a tattoo.
Your pre-session checklist
The personal reminder for your time before the session.
Prioritise being well-rested and nourished
Skipping meals before a session is a no-no.
Eat beforehand, bring water and/or soda and a snack, wear clean comfortable clothing.
Arrive sober and well
Do not attend under the influence or drugs.
Get in touch if you're unwell or the area is irritated or sunburned.
Discuss anything that may affect the session
Raise concerns about allergies, previous reactions, medication and relevant health or skin concerns during your consultations.
Leave time for healing in your calendar
Plan around swimming, sun exposure and activities that may rub or irritate the tattoo.
Clear standards.
No silent assumptions.
02 - At the studio
Your session takes place at I-Ink's studio in Hedehusene.
Ask about any part of the setup or process -
you deserve an explanation you can understand.
A hygienic setup and clear rules for use.
The working area is cleaned and prepared between clients in accordance to the regulations mandatory hygiene certification for tattoo artists.
To reduce cross contamination, barriers are used, high hand hygiene and often glove changing happens during the session.

Single-use equipment and materials
Sterile, single-use cartridges are opened during your session and safely disposed of afterwards. Feel free to ask me to walk you through the equipment and preparation before the tattooing begins.

Transparent ink information
Ask about which inks will be used and how their product and batch information is recorded. Ink selection and documentation is checked against applicable EU requirements.
Compliance doesn't mean an ink is allergy-free or that tattooing has no health risk.
We check the design and placement together, and go through the consent form before starting.
Ask questions, tell me if you feel unwell, and ask to pause or stop at any point. Comfort needs and boundaries are part of the conversation and not an inconvenience.
The work continues as it heals.
03 - Healing & support
You'll receive aftercare guidance for your tattoo at the end of the session. Keep those instructions nearby, and ask if anything is unclear.
Care during healing
Protecting the skin during healing.
· Wash your hands before touching the cover or the tattoo.
· Follow the gentle cleaning method and moisturise according to the instructions provided to you.
· Don't scratch, itch or pick at the tattoo.
· Avoid swimming, soaking, direct sun and friction while the skin heals.
· Healing period varies. Ask for advice if the cover irritates your skin or the tattoo isn't progressing as expected.
Never stay silent if you're unsure about the healing period.
Rather ask one time too much than one time too little.
When to get help
Don't wait on a reply, if you need medical care.
Seek medical advice promptly for increasing redness, warmth, swelling than normal, or pain, pus, a spreading rash, or symptoms persist or worsen.
If you have a high fever and feel very unwell, seek urgent medical attention by calling 112 (Danish emergency line). It can be a sign of sepsis and needs to be treated fast.
